A Celebration of Light

The plants, water and animals of this planet inspire me in wild and wonderous ways. The way that sunlight nourishes and warms this planet and the way the plant life utilize sunlight to create it’s own food is awe inspiring. As I gazed in awe one afternoon on a walk in the woods, I marveled as I do at the dance of sunlight moving in and out of the trees. Light and trees and nature in general is a constant source of solace and reprieve for me. It came to me that the light of the sun nourishes and feeds us all just as the light of grand creation nourishes and feeds the soul of all things. In that moment I was inspired to create this series of art that captures the essence of the light that nourishes life.
